About Sayo Town
Sayo Town (Sayo-cho) is located in the Harima area in southwestern Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
It is a small town with an area of approximately 307 km2 and a population of 14,770.
The town is formed in a basin along the Sayo River in the Chikusa River system, but 80% of the town area is covered by mountain forests.
Early in the morning from late autumn to winter, the town is often shrouded in a mist called "Sayo no Asagiri" (morning fog of Sayo).
